Oli Migjorn snatched gold (Corbella) and silver medals (Arbequina) last year's from the most prestigious NYIOOC World 2020 Olive Oil competition. The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the largest and most prestigious olive oil quality competition. Its annual list of winners is a prestigious guide to the world’s best olive oils and the producers that produce them. Access to the list and guide is a great tribute to the producer.
Extra virgin olive oil made from the Arbequina variety has been produced organically at an altitude of 600 meters, where olive trees grow surrounded by pines and other wild plants and animals. Its taste is soft, fresh and slightly grassy. Extra virgin olive oil of the Arbequina variety is produced organically in Catalonia, where olive trees grow surrounded by pines and other wild plants and animals.
Arbequina has a strong green fruity profile with ripe nuances. In the mouth it is spicy, a little sweet and with a clear connoisseur (a harmonious, balanced combination of sweetness and bitterness). It also has secondary vegetable flavors with clear good, cut herbs and fruits (artichoke, tomato) - perhaps a bit of an almond and “floral landscape” if you pinch and think of the scorching Spanish sun.
